Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry of Slovenia in the framework of project ISO CONSTRUCT - Certification of competencies of unskilled workers in the construction sector using standard ISO 17024, carried out trial certification of interested construction workers. The certification was organized in the premises of public school institution ŠC Celje (http://www.sc-celje.si/Strani/default.aspx), Secondary School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Protection.
Certification of persons means the examination of skills, knowledge and competences of construction workers (employed or unemployed).The certification exam consist of written, practical and oral part. The practical part of the exam represent the tasks of building and plastering, production notes and simple binding of reinforcement and concreting base.
On 02.06.2015 the certification exam Certified construction worker according to widespread  international standard ISO 17024:2012 successfully passed all 8 candidates, most of them were unemployed. Workers obtained a certificate representing the European proof of qualifications for a construction worker on the EU required level 2 (or 3 on the required level in Slovenia).
On 02.07.2015 second pilot certification will be organized in Slovenia by GZS ZGIGM. This time again free of charge for persons included in this pilot phase certification.
